Abbott isn’t on the ballot in 2020 - but he will be on the ballot in 2020 if he chooses to run for a 3rd term (Texas has no term limits for Governor)and after this mandatory mask order there is ZERO chance that the TX GOP will hold off on supporting a Primary Challenger. I have no doubt that he will not survive a Primary Election challenge in 2022 after doing this. We Texans need to do everything we can to remove him before then.

Yeah. Plenty of people should be wearing them. The people who are most likely to die from comorbidities.

I’ve noticed though, that in addition to the ‘Karens’ who are demanding them, around here, a lot of people have adopted them as a ‘fashion statement’ Very fancy ‘designer’ ones... and I want to gag when I see a husband and wife (and sometimes their children too) all wearing matching ‘designer’ ones.

Trump, like Washington, is fighting a war.

And I’d argue Trump has an even harder fight, with an enemy that is deeply entrenched and fights from the shadows.

Washington’s war took seven years.

We need to pray Trump can do it in 8.

“I’m sure that’s gonna go over well in certain areas of Texas. I’m thinking the north for starts - Amarillo, Lubbock, etc.”

It will be a no-go here in large parts of Central Texas as well. Outside of Austin or San Antonio, the rest of the state is EXTREMELY CONSERVATIVE.

We ordered some from Etsy back when you couldn’t get any at the store. If I take mine off, I clean my hands before putting on a fresh one. I don’t reuse the damn things.

Interesting little factoid from the boxes I buy: On the back it says “Not for use in healthcare settings”.

SNORT.

Yes we do but not everyone should get the vaccine. Come to think of it we have no idea what percentage of the population did not get the proper number of boosters for measles. That is not even seasonal. Better mask year round. So what if the outbreak was in California; six degrees of separation and all that. Virus particles can be halfway around the world before the the powers that can even begin to destroy the economy.

That chart isn't specific to Texas. Here's the COVID Tracking Project's Texas charts:

Just posting it for reference; don't shoot the messenger!

Methinks the asinine war on the US economy includes Fauci, and his psychological warfare, aka, Masking Rules for the Rubes!

I think Trump and the Intel Departments, the Justice Department, AG Barr, Judicial Watch and new Circuit Court judges, everywhere, know what is going on and are preparing to expose it all.

If exposing these Anti-Americans means letting them run amok, awhile longer, until the Stupid People get the picture, then I guess I can endure the theatrics.

TRUMP 2020 is the goal.

Chairman’s Circle Profile : Attorney General Greg Abbott
In 1995, then-Governor George W. Bush appointed Abbott to the Texas Supreme Court, where he served with distinction.

Getting his orders from his old buddy Bush?

Trump’s silence is really bothering me! Crap like this makes believe he could be talked into another full scale shutdown! What is happening to him?

I feel the same way. Seems like something has happened that’s causing him to stay silent. We should have a choice about the masks. Maybe the masks are CAUSING the surge (I know-not really) but the government officials will never be able to stop people from catching the virus or anything else.

I totally agree. Trump has had plenty of time to put doctors with opposing views on his task force. Why hasn’t he? Really strange.
