It just amazes me that a major political party has not picked a running mate and it is already July with convention in mid August. I don’t recall anyone waiting that long in recent history
Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska was selected as John McCain’s vice presidential running mate on August 29, 2008.
U.S. Representative Paul Ryan of Wisconsin was selected as Mitt Romney’s vice presidential running mate on August 11, 2012.

Reagan made his biggest mistake on the second night of the convention when he picked one George Bush, Sr. as his VP. I knew it was a mistake then, and what a disaster this boob turned out to be.
