White people say they want to be an ally to Black people. But are they ready for sacrifice?

I remember when, in Manhattan, they discovered an archaeological find where a building had collapsed: a negro burial ground. When I was unemployed, I noticed that someone had thrown a bunch of bananas over the fence into the burial ground. I reached my hand through the wire mesh, grabbed a few bananas, and had them for lunch, thereby both helping the working poor and also striking a blow against racism.

I have been trying to point that out to my children. This behavior is not making the real racist whites feel any different about blacks, it is actually strengthening that feeling.

Nor is it making white people who had sympathy for the situation come off the fence onto the side of BLM. It is actually scaring the **** out of those people. They are now buying guns to protect themselves.

I really do not see how the BLM people think any of this will ultimately accrue to their benefit. But stupid is as stupid does.

That “ally” stuff is from the LGBTQ+ crowd. They want people to put up little signs in their offices saying they are allies and to be vocally in front of the issue.

All so they can get positive affirmation from straights and pretend that their consciences aren’t screaming like crazy about what they are doing. The positive affirmation drowns out that “still small voice.”

By the Grace of God, none have yet approached me to be an ally. I don’t know if it is because they haven’t got around to me yet, or because “everyone” where I work knows exactly what would happen if they did.

The first time I was jumped and beaten was by a black that was a few years older than I. In high school a group of blacks jumped me and beat me because I was an AF brat going to a minority HS. I saw blacks get first choice in base selection in the USAF and treated preferentially. The Airman's club catered to blacks and when I asked for C&W the blacks in charge just laughed at me. I was ordered to go to race relations in the USAF that was taught by all blacks about how their race was mistreated and telling me that the Black Panthers was an altruistic organization and the Sons of Confederate Veterans a racist radical organization. I was robbed several times by groups of black airmen at my duty station but had little to no recourse because of the hands off attitude towards blacks. Black groups singled out white airmen often and beat them for little to no reason. In college I didn't have to deal with this because my curriculum was difficult and had preference to only academics, no race. After I received my doctorate I went into practice and within two months my truck was broke into by a group of blacks, stealing drugs, personal possessions and checkbook and moneybag. I learned who they were because they tried to cash forged checks but the police wouldn't pursue them because they were the "snitches" for the police. Many of the animal cruelty cases I saw were by blacks and many of them stiffed me for the bill. This is not to mention the many black dominated dog fighting rings in the Northeast and West Tennessee area. Black drug gangs had a firefight in my clinic's parking lot for almost fifteen minutes and a call to the police went unresponded because they were in the black part of town with another gang fight. I was surrounded by a gang of blacks at my clinic after hours and would have been robbed or worse had I not had a M1911 in my lap that wasn't seen by them until one reached in the truck for my moneybag. The only workman's comp case I had was by a black we hired that was seen on camera faking a fall and making the claim. We had the film and sent it to workman's comp and they made us settle out of court for $12K even though we had the black man clearly fraudulent. Blacks broke into my clinic and hocked many items at a local pawn shop and we handled it without the police and got our items back. For 30 years in practice I had black employees and saw their prejudice and hatred during the OJ trial. Justice be damned. These are just a few of my experiences with blacks.

I'd say my experience with blacks justifies my reason to move from the area to a location with .01% blacks and the nearest large group of them over three hours drive away. I can deal with tweekers better than I can blacks. The current political climate and actions by blacks confirms my beliefs.

Will Blacks press a button that removes all of their privilege? Jobs and promotions based on Color rather than ability, College admission standards reduced and grades given based on color? Home loans given regardless of financial ability based on color? Free passes given for wanton rioting, theft, destruction and mayhem entirely due to color?

The White privilege for those other than the wealthy seems to be from my experience, the privilege to study hard in school earn good grades to fight for a berth in a good university, to have to show ability and merit to get a good job and advance, to have to have a good down payment work and income history to buy a home, the privilege to be blamed for everything that happened over a hundred and fifty years ago even though my ancestors arrived less than seventy years ago just because of the color of my skin, to be cut not one iota of slack if I break the law let alone rioting, looting, destroying or committing acts of mayhem. And all this while burdened with excessive taxes to pay for people of color sitting on their asses, drinking, boozing, drugging and spitting out babies to increase their welfare check.

Yup that a whole lot of White privilege I got there to feel guilty about!

That’s been going on for quite a while now.

Around 30 years ago, I worked with a black woman who was a very hard worker. She was not well educated; she and her siblings were raised by their grandmother after her mother passed away and she had to quit school to go to work to help out.

“Annie” had a daughter who was in high school at the time. She was a single mother who raised her daughter alone; her husband dumped them when the daughter was an infant. She had no other children.

Her daughter was quite intelligent and aspired to be a lawyer. She was accused often of trying to “act white” or “talk white.” It made Annie furious. She did not see hard work nor success in racial terms.

I lost touch and never found out if the daughter reached her goals.

Don’t you just love how the sacrifice of thousands of white lives fighting to free the slaves is always ignored by those who were never slaves?
Who among us has never been hated, and mistreated by someone in their lifetime? Are we entitled to half of what our neighbor earns because somebody didn’t like us? Where has this bs come from?
If Smoot is entitled to financial compensation for being disliked, then I am also entitled to financial compensation because because Smoot dislikes me for my color.
