That said, I was not surprised at this ruling. There was so little to separate this law from the one previously struck down, I wonder why the Court even decided to hear it. Frankly, if some woman wants to kill her baby and ends up dead or incapable of ever having children because they could not get timely care as a a result of this ruling, it was her decisions to begin with. No sympathy here. Common sense dictates that having admitting privileges with a local hospital will ensure the safety of patients. It will certainly manage the credentials of abortionists. I am of the opinion the Roberts will rule against conservative on social issues every time, he is a liberal. On separations of power and executive privileges he will rule with conservatives.
