In Shogi, Black moves first. I don't know how pronounced of an advantage that is.
In the classic Mad magazine "Spy vs. Spy" comic strip, I think that the White Spy won more often than his nemesis. Was the Antonio Prohias a racist?
Come to think of it, I don't think that any characters in Don Martin's comics were black either. Maybe the Mad staff was racist. Freaking morons.
Interesting stats. Maybe chess is racist after all. ;)
Your “Spy vs Spy” reference reminded me of the “black guy always dies first” phenomenon in movies. I was watching a couple of Lifetime movies with my wife this week. One was “Psycho Nurse” or something and the psycho’s first victim was a black doctor. In the other one, the wife of a serial adulterer decides to get even with his mistresses, and the first one she killed was black. Now, most of those movies are formulaic and full of cliches, but they might want to think about avoiding that one.
I think that he did a few. For example, there was a receptionist for the NAACP who asked for instructions on what to do when the Hulk showed up and asked to join.
