Nothing to worry about. The blm supporters are much too stupid to know the first thing about chess.

Oh it gets even worse for Chess on the razist front! The most skilled players, the ones who dominate their opponents, are publicly ranked as MASTERS, up through International and Grand MASTER!

So, it is obvious to see how reazist chess is;
1) It supports 'White Privilege' with white pieces and white first move.
2) It is played on a checkerboard of light and dark squares.
3) It permits a Black King to be checkmated, a poorly disguised word for killed!
4) Minority players have to play under the same rules as non-minority players, ignoring the centuries of oppression.
5) High ranking, winning players, are awarded MASTER titles, perpetuating plantation culture.

FIDE, the Fédération Internationale des Échecs, as the ruling body in world-wide chess, must fix these problems immediately AND as punishment for their blatant thought-crime, pay redemption fees to anyone asking for money, anywhere at all. Down with the MASTERS!

Don’t be surprised if there is a real push by the leftists to get rid of Master. We live in crazy times.

Not a chess player. But does the first move put white in more danger. (Putting their neck out)? Also, do chess masters when in a match, choose one color over the other? Does one color dominate the other in frequency of winning?
Merely seeking to determine whether this chessmen color/racism meme has any validity, or if it’s just more lib bull feces.

2) It is played on a checkerboard of light and dark squares.

I know that you are writing this in sarcastic mode, but most boards in use I have seen are green and white. The last time I tried to use a back and white board, my opponent complained that he could not see the black pieces clearly.

But the vast majority of games are still won with white.

I think you mean that white wins more of the games which are not draws. White wins less than 50% of the total number of games played, but more than black.

Side bar: I used to love chess, but it got to be too frustrating. In a book by Horowitz he offered a couple of variations. One was to hide your opponent’s side of the board (we used record album covers) as you arranged the pieces any way that you wanted. Your opponent did the same. When ready, we removed the albums, revealing the whole board.. and played.

Fun times.

1) But does the first move put white in more danger. (Putting their neck out)?

Ans.: No, it is that White establishes a battleground that Black must respond to. There are multiple known attacks and defenses for both sides. A frequent tool of modern Chess is consulting the database of published games to see if a game has had the same poitions after 'x' moves and the outcome(s).

2) Also, do chess masters when in a match, choose one color over the other?

Ans.: The first game starts with one player holding a different color pawn in each hand. The opponent chooses one and plays that color. After that, the played colors rotate between the players.

3) Does one color dominate the other in frequency of winning?

Ans.: White does have a slight historical advantage percentage of 6-7% I believe. First moves is an advantage but, really, HOW ELSE WOULD THE GAME BE PLAYED???

Yes, the complaints are PURE MALE BOVINE EXCREMENT!

There are some positions in which the player who moves will lose the game, (a position in which you will lose because you have to move is called zugzwang) but the starting position is not one of those. Some players prefer to play black, but few master players would want to play black in every game.

Yes, I meant there are more 1-0 outcomes than 0-1 outcomes.

Don’t be surprised if there is a push to reverse the colors of a piano keyboard.

We must ban every use of the colors white and black, universally, in or on EVERYTHING. /sarc

Some baroque keyboards were already like that.

Why should it matter which color goes first? Only a racist person would even imply that it is racist. After all, the color of a chess piece has nothing whatsoever to do with the color of a person's skin, which indeed is never black or white, it's always something in between.

btw, I doubt that very many "black" people play chess, since there are about 1500 grandmasters in the world and only three of them are black. Or maybe, most of them just aren't smart enough to be that good. I don't know. But in any case, they don't pick who goes first, based on the color of a person's skin!

Why isn't it "racist" for black to play first in Go? They are looking for an excuse to b**ch about white people.

One persn takes a piece, usually a pawn of each color, places them in his/her hands and puts them behind his back; unseen by the other player; who then chooses which hand he/she wants.

The owner of the white piece begins play.

Unlike chess, Stratego is a game of incomplete information.
