Isn’t a woman playing Bart’s voice?
Oh, forgot, double standards are THE standard for liberals.
more racism out of Hollywood, eh?
what if a white actor can do a better job?
sometimes occasionally its at least a possibility that a white person might be able to do a good job
but if s/he’s now going to be excluded from consideration based on this racist edict..... how does this make the producers feel any better that they’re OUTing their new racist thinking for the entire world to see?
The episode when Lisa worried about here future based on her father’s failures but then it was shown how all the women in the extended families were successful professionally while the men were Neanderthals did it for me. That was probably 20 years ago. I dunno. I never went back to the show.
Where will they find the yellow people to voice their yellow characters?
Yeah, why hold out for talent?... Oh, wait, there hasn’t been any talent in Hollywood for years. So this won’t make one whit of difference in the quality of anything they produce. YAWN.
From what other planet will they contract beings to play Kang and Kodos be found?
Actually, I think it will be really funny for Apu to have the upper-class Oxford accent he deserves.
Ah, but any non-voice can voice whatever no doubt. This is more anti-white racism.
There’s a smell of segregation in the air.
Simpsons have been on how long? And this is just now a problem?
Solution ... no non-white characters !!! ha ha
"Good gracious me! I'm standing here beside myself!"
So they are saying that they don't feel the need for a cartoon to be funny anymore.
It makes no difference to me. The Simpsons went from my favorite program to “who cares” maybe 20 years ago.
I just remembered something. In “Smallville”, they had a half Chinese girl play a Caucasian one. It was obvious that Lana Lang looked a little Oriental but no one seemed to notice.
What exactly does this have to do with George Floyd? The current orgy of political correctness was triggered by the Floyd killing but it’s all irrelevant nonsense.
So they have all been fired?
So instead of two talented people doing the voices for 12 different characters, they may have to employ 12 new employees if the race and sex and actual age don’t match up.
That’s going to add to production costs, and will probably result in much fewer different characters being featured.
Silly.
I’m SOOOOOO glad to finally hear this! It had been bothering me for a long time.
Have they announced yet that...
Only animators who are people of color will be drawing the people of color characters in every scene.
Of course a lot of the animation work for these shows is done outside of the U.S.
They’re so proud of this, when what they’re producing is make-believe.
You can’t make this stuff up.
