Following accusations of widespread fraud, voter intimidation, and ballot theft in the May 12 municipal elections in Paterson, N.J., state Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal (pictured) announced Thursday he is charging four men with voter fraud including the vice president of the City Council and a candidate for that body.
With races still undecided, control of the council hangs in the balance. Paterson is New Jerseys third largest city and the election will decide the fate of a municipal budget in excess of $300 million, in addition to hundreds of millions more in education spending and state aid.
In the City Council election, 16,747 vote-by-mail ballots were received, but only 13,557 votes were counted. More than 3,190 votes, 19% of the total ballots cast, were disqualified by the board of elections. Due to the pandemic, Patersons election was done through vote-by-mail. Community organizations, such as the citys NAACP chapter, are calling for the entire election to be invalidated.
Mail-in ballots have long been acknowledged by voting experts to be more susceptible to fraud and irregularities than in-person voting. This has raised concerns from President Trump and other Republicans about the integrity of national elections in November, which are expected to include a dramatic increase in mail-in ballots. If Paterson is any guide, it ought to concern Democrats as well.
Over 800 ballots in Paterson were invalidated for appearing in mailboxes improperly bundled together including a one mailbox where hundreds of ballots were in a single packet. The bundles were turned over to law enforcement to investigate potential criminal activity related to the collection of the ballots.
The board of elections disqualified another 2,300 ballots after concluding that the signatures on them did not match the signatures on voter records.

I suppose you can take some comfort in the idea that in many of the states, like NY, IL, & CA, Trump was not very likely to win in any case. But Congressional seats will be lost as in CA in 2018. And there are states where Trump won in ‘16 that have flipped to at least partial dem control like WI & MI.
What can Trump do? Rip Biden a few new ones. Make sure voters know that dems are on the rioter/looters’ side.
Remember a while back we saw articles about schools deciding to discontinue the teaching of cursive?
I didn't understand at the time why they would do that. Now I do. If you can't write in cursive you can't sign your mail-in ballot and, therefore, cannot vote. You become disenfranchised. Writing in cursive has become the new poll tax ... barrier to voting ... voter suppression.
The Democrats will scream for eliminating the signature requirement, setting the stage for massive fraud where endless ballots will be printed and mailed in with no signature, no proof it came from a real voter, no nothing.
From 2017: “PATERSON More than 98 percent of the students at six Paterson high schools failed to attain passing math scores in this years standardized state tests, according to statistics released at Wednesday nights Board of Education meeting.
At Eastside Highs government and public administration academy, five students among the 593 who took the tests achieved passing scores in math, the report shows. The results were worse at Eastsides culinary academy, where two students among 584 met proficiency levels in math.”
It is a rustbelt dump...
That's 14% of the mail-in ballots.
How many handwriting experts did they have examining the ballots? Or was it just party hacks tossing ballots they didn't like?
Maybe they didn't like the return address? Or the party registration?
Murphy ordered mail in votes be sent to all voters.. be they alive, dead, illegal or federal convicts.
There in lies the difference between Trump requesting an absentee ballot and random mailing of ballot applications. Sad but the republican electorate cannot see the difference and the democrat electorate are drooling.
