I think you are on to something there. Being out in the sunshine during warm weather actually helps protect you from the virus. So it would stand to reason that as the temperatures got warmer, more people would go outside and be protected.

But in the Deep South and in the deserts of the Southwest, it is now so hot that people prefer to stay indoors with the AC cranking. So it's almost like the Northeast during the winter, where everybody tends to stay indoors.

.

Increased TESTING EQUALS Increased CASES found.

‘Cases’ are not hospitalized nor fatalities.

“ Which doesn’t change the fact that most of the hospitals and ICUs in AZ are currently FULL UP.”

From an AZ article: “ The Department of Health Services reports number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 hit a record 1,234 on Friday. And that comes just a day after the figure was only 1,079.

And deaths in Arizona from COVID-19 are now at 1,012.”

OK, now let’s put that into perspective.

Arizona Population 2020: 7,378,490

Oh noes, we’re all gonna die.

I didn’t say we’re all gonna die. But when there are NO ICU beds in your state that’s a BAD THING. Basically we in AZ are now under orders to not get sick, any sick, or have an accident, any accident, because the tools to help us if things go bad are NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE.

My comment was on your overreaction.

From AZ Central:

Inpatients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 tallied 2,110 statewide as of Thursday, down from Wednesday’s record 2,453 patients hospitalized. Hospitalizations have eclipsed 1,000 daily for over the past three weeks, the highest they’ve been since the state began reporting the data April 8.
Ventilator use for suspected and confirmed positive COVID-19 patients fell sharply on Thursday, with 312 patients on ventilators, a drop from Wednesday’s record of 415 patients on ventilators. Overall, 55% of ventilators remained available Thursday.
ICU bed use for suspected and confirmed positive COVID-19 patients was at 581 on Thursday, down from the previous high of 614 on Monday. Thursday was the 11th consecutive day it has passed 500.
Emergency department visits for patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 was at 1,249 on Thursday, a new record for daily visits. Visits surpassed 800 on June 5 and have been above that level every day since. During April and May, emergency department daily visits for COVID-19 were typically in the 400s and 500s, rising into the 600s in the last few days of May.
The number of patients with suspected or confirmed positive COVID-19 discharged from hospitals was at 250 Thursday, the most ever discharged in one day since the state began reporting the data April 8.

I am not overreacting. Hospitals are full. Doesn’t matter how many of the cases are covid. 2 of the 3 biggest hospitals in Tucson report no available beds. The rest are running between 80% and 90% capacity. The last time that’s happened in Tucson was never. That is a bad thing. Maybe the numbers have peaked. Maybe not. I sure hope they’ve peaked. Cause if they haven’t we’re $%^&ed.
