Just watched Tucker’s segment on this.
He could be correct in a sense. He is saying that the democrats are exercising their nuclear option. That option is to terrorize the voters. “Vote for us or we will give you more lockdown and riots.”
In other words, heads they win, tails they may lose BUT either way they win or else. This is the or else.
Tucker believes that Trump has to do a better job of calling them out.
I have to say, Tucker isn’t wrong. I’d like Trump to call it like it is and get back to being that insurgent candidate.
The message I would like to hear is this:
“When I ran in 2016 I told you that the system was rigged against you. I told you that DC was a swamp that needed to be drained. I told you it was a cabal of corrupt elites who hold you in contempt and use fear and bribery in the form of social welfare to manipulate and control you. They have particularly done this to minority communities. We are seeing that today. They have sold you out to foreign countries through corrupt trade deals. They sent your jobs overseas and imported cheap labor to our shores and across our borders, along with crime, while enriching themselves, all in the name of globalism.
You gave me a chance to drain that swamp and give you a fair chance. I have set about to do just that and despite the swamp’s best efforts, I brought your jobs back to America. I brought your jobs back to the minority neighborhoods that needed them the most.
But the swamp does not like to lose. They fought back and fought back with the corrupt tools of power. They are allied with and control our fake news media. I need not go into detail as to their plots. By now you are all too familiar with false charges of Russian collusion and a Soviet style show trial that distracted this country at a crucial time when Covid was crashing upon us.
Now, they have unleashed their greatest attack upon you. I bear the brunt of this attack because I am in the way of their plans for you. They have used a pandemic to justify destroying and restricting your freedom far beyond that which was necessary to preserve your health. They have instead gleefully enjoyed the tyrannical power that they grabbed for themselves and refused to relinquish it. We see this in state after state. They have destroyed your livelihoods because they care little for them. They cared little for your jobs and businesses when they sent your jobs to China and they care little for them now.
Not co tent with this abuse of power, they cynically used a tragic death of a black man not to seek genuine police reform but to spread fear by declaring anarchy as the order of the day. They burn and loot businesses in the very communities they so cynically claim to seek justice for. Make no mistake, their version of justice is to control and manipulate the black community. They say “black lives matter”. But you can bet that they won’t care on hit about any black life after November. And why would they? They haven’t cared in one city where they have held power for time eternal
And who have they chosen for their nominee to oppose me? A man who is the epitome of swamp corruption. My opponent has a long record as a Senator and Vice President. He would like to forget that record. He probably has and would like you to join him. But we will not allow it. We will not allow Joe to forget his racist statements and actions. He is no friend to the black community. Just ask those who suffered under his crime bill.
My message was, is and remains America First. Joe’s message is “anyone who can enrich me and my family and my elite friends first.” If you finish in the bottom of that heap, so be it.
I do not agree.
Trump cannot come down too hard on the left right now, because he is competing with them for the SAME VOTERS.
Let him compete. He is quite good at this.
