Didn’t Petty have 3 car team at one time. I thought he, Adam, Kyle, and maybe Buckshot Jones drove under Petty Enterprises.(maybe not all at once)

Richard Petty Motorsports did not start until 2009. It began as Evernham Motorsports in 2000. There were a number of years where they struggled for sponsors. They ran Dodge cars back then.

There have been several changes in partners and names. There was even talk of not having enough sponsorships to last through the 2019 season.

Wallace cost them a sponsor during an iRacing event this year where he crashed early and quit. Said he didn’t take iRacing seriously.

He’ll probably pickup some new sponsors now.
