First, it is not the job of government to MANDATE CARING ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE.
Second, what about ME GETTING SICK from wearing a mask? Am I not more important than a random stranger?
Third, most orders I have seen require masks IF SOCIAL DISTANCING CANNOT BE MAINTAINED. But businesses don’t want to be bothered with the second part of the requirement and just say masks are required. My gym requires a mask, and all the equipment is 6-8 feet apart, at minimum.

Here are a couple questions I would like the “party of science” to answer:
If an antibody test shows that someone has already had COVID-19, is that person still required to wear a mask?
If the answer is yes, does that mean masks will still be required after a COVID-19 vaccine is developed?
After all, that is what a vaccine does - it develops antibodies to ward off the disease.

My county in WA already has such an order and we ignore it. If even one asymptomatic transmission case could be proved conclusively I would consider wearing one. So far no such evidence. Several cases were suspected but people were hiding their symptoms.
Got to make up those budget shortfalls one way or another...
