Investigators will need to secure testimony from Strzok, fired two years ago from the FBI, to be certain of the exact meaning and intent of his one paragraph of notes, which were made public in court on Wednesday.
But they appear to illuminate an extraordinary high-level effort by outgoing Obama-era officials during the first weekend of January to find a way to sustain a counterintelligence investigation of Flynn in the absence of any evidence of wrongdoing.
The Justice Department says the notes were written between Jan. 3-5, 2017, the very weekend the FBI agent who had investigated Flynns ties to Russia for five months recommended the case be closed because there was no derogatory evidence that he committed a crime or posed a counterintelligence threat. FBI supervisors overruled the agent's recommendation.
Strzoks notes appear to quote then-FBI Director James Comey as suggesting that Flynns intercepted calls with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak appear legit, bolstering other recently disclosed evidence showing the bureau saw nothing wrong with Flynns behavior.
The notes also suggest Biden who once claimed he had no knowledge of the Flynn probe raised the issue of the Logan Act, an obscure, centuries-old law, as a possible avenue for continuing to investigate Flynn.
And Strzok appears to quote Obama as suggesting the FBI assign the right people to pursue the case.

Did you ever ask yourself why Flynn's team has never denied that he lied?
I saw all of this on the evening news.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha etc
No, I'm not. But I'm not going to try to gaslight people into thinking that he didn't lie, either.
Oh, that's perfect!!! Nice shot... It's so nice to have a lame unconcious Demonicrat Uuncandid candidate ailing from severe S.T.M.L. (Short Term Memory Loss)
What did Flynn lie about?
The content of his discussions with Kislyak.
And he doesn't deny it.
To who did Flynn lie about the contents of his discussion with Kislyak?
Apparently he lied to both the FBI and the Trump administration. Both have punished him for it and he hasnt denied it.
Im not playing twenty questions. Do you have a point?
He didn’t get in trouble for lying about it ..... because ..... he didn’t lie about it.
Why did Trump fire him?
Ray
If you lied about what you had for breakfast that is not criminal.

Is what you posted true? I thought lying to the FBI was a crime. At least that is what I have read on FR.
He didnt get in trouble for lying about it ..... because ..... he didnt lie about it.
Why did Trump fire him?

That is a different question. I mean, go ask Trump.
I don’t think you ever studied logic. You commit a large number of logical fallacies in your various statements. (But you seem to enjoy it, so carry on.)
The justice department said there was no crime so there was nothing material to an investigation that could have been lied about. They avoided the question of whether he actually lied. In order for lying to fbi to be criminal, the lie has to be material.
You are not very smart. Flynn Has repeated denied he lied. read his certification in support of withdrawing his plea. FBI themselves said he did not lie.
“Joe DiGenova (yah,I know) was on the Howie Carr Show (Boston+ Newsmax TV) this afternoon.I didn’t hear the whole thing but what I did hear was genuine giddiness on his part. His closing words to Howie were ‘let the civil lawsuits begin!’”
That’s exactly what he said to Hannity every blessed week for about two years. “Next week indictments are coming down!” He lost all credibility — probably why he’s not on the Fox shows any more. So now he’s pitching his BS on Carr. Shoot.
WRONG....

How did Pence know about the Flynn/Kislyak phone call? It was because the FBI illegally unmasked the phone call. They are the ones who went to Pence and told him about it and it was all a set up to get Flynn fired.
The transcript of the phone call is now public record and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. There was no reason for Flynn to lie about it and he did not. Pence at that time had no reason to doubt the FBI.
I am really surprised that you are taking the side of the FBI in this thing considering all that has come out in the exculpatory evidence and what we know today about what happened.
Thanks for your post at 24 - that was my understanding of the situation that resulted in the claim that Flynn lied.
