Every Trade has a Master level, My father was a Master shoemaker with specialty in design and orthopedics, when he came to America he found there were a surplus of shoemakers and no demand for his specialized skills so he went to work in a machine shop and became a Master machinist. What will they call the trades masters now?

My son and DIL both have Masters degrees, what are those called now?
