It must be the thing to do in that culture. Jahi McMath, who died in Oakland during an adenotonsillectomy, uvulopalatopharyngoplasty and submucous resection of bilateral inferior turbinates, was kept on a ventilator for years. It was all so macabre. She was finally buried in 2018 - and you should’ve seen the funeral! Her mother (who referred to herself as Jahi’s beautiful mother) asked everyone to be dressed in purple.
In our family, funerals are so sombre. Everyone wears black or charcoal. There’s no wailing and gnashing of teeth. We’re all composed and say goodbye with dignity.

Smaller scale, but not all that different from the funerals of George Floyd or Rayshard Brooks, right?

Never will understand the cartoon fashions that you see at these things.
No sense of decorum, always peacocking and preening.

How about his girlfriend? Did she and the grieving wife sit together?
To: AppyPappy
She has not been arrested unless it just happened.

Does anyone know the funeral seating protocol for widows and girlfriends? Do they sit and grieve together? Curious minds...

Well, in all the soap operas, the wife always sits up front wailing and fainting, while the mistress sits quietly sobbing in the last row.
