It sounds like nobody knows the actual history of the statue, and what it was supposed to represent.

Namely, Roosevelt as a hunter, with two hunting guides, one representing America (the Native American), and one representing Africa (The African).

In that context, there is no “heirarchy”, other than the hunter who has hired an expert to help him find his prey.

And so, a statue that depicts a Native American as representative of “America” will be destroyed on the left’s pillar of progress.

This is what I was wondering. What is the spirit of the thing and on the sculpture’s mind? What is it meant to represent?
