Woke Companies Mark Juneteenth While Reportedly Profiting from China’s Muslim Slave Labor (Abercrombie & Fitch, Amazon, Apple, FILA, General Motors, Google, Nike, and Ralph Lauren)

At least eight global companies identified as benefitting from China’s enslavement of Muslim minorities published statements celebrating Juneteenth, an American holiday marking the end of slavery in the country.

A Breitbart News analysis found that the eight companies are Abercrombie & Fitch, Amazon, Apple, FILA, General Motors, Google, Nike, and Ralph Lauren.

Three other companies identified as benefitting from forced labor by Muslim minorities in China — Sony, H&M, and Gap — were more cautious in their approach, issuing statements on social media against hatred and racism and in support of diversity on the days ahead of July 19 without mentioning Juneteenth.

I was given off Juneteenth for the first time in ever. And it was a short notice decision.

And we were advised to use the day to be quiet, contemplative, etc.

I've been to Juneteenth celebrations. There's music and food.

It is a day of jubilation. It is a celebration of freedom and the end of slavery.

We don't use July 4th to reflect in isolation about the oppression by monarchs.

Amazon may be the biggest seller of slave-made products.

But they put a BLM banner on their homepage, so it is OK.

Yes, but they are Chinese slaves not black slaves. And as everyone knows, only black slaves owned by white people count. /sarcasm

June is a month of the year.

Placing "teenth" behind the name for a month, instead of a number in some sort of bastardized etymology is Ebonics.

Juneteenth is not the best date to celebrate the end of slavery. Slavery remained legal in the four border states that remained loyal to the United States (Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky, and Missouri) and some parts of Louisiana that were exempted from The Emancipation Proclamation. The date to celebrate is almost six months later when Georgia became the last necessary state to ratify the Thirteenth Amendment, namely December 6th. 1865.

Different color slave workers; that’s ok, I guess.

We must adopt some Ebonics as enlightened language, and to object would be racist. We all must take a knee to the mob, and confess our WP. Where will this end?

June 19th may not be the best date for a national celebration/commemoration but it is a longstanding tradition and the first such annual celebration. It’s a Texas thing.

Doesn’t make sense celebrating it elsewhere.

And some have said “news took two years to reach Texas”

It took a couple of months after the end of the civil war. Did all of the states release their slaves prior to the civil war? no.

June 19th is the date. Push them together you get Juneteenth.

It’s preferable to say Independence Day to July 4th. One is a “date” one is a holiday.
