Australia has launched six warships into the Indo-Pacific for training operations ahead of huge show of force in the region with the US Navy.

HMA Ships Canberra, Hobart, Stuart, Anzac, Ballarat and Arunta all left their base in Sydney Harbour on Monday.

They will conduct 'task group training' before taking part in a warfare training exercise with the US and other allies known as the Rim of the Pacific in August.

The exercise is the world's largest international maritime warfare training mission, held every two years from Honolulu, Hawaii.

A defence spokesman said the ships are 'currently conducting maritime task group training under strict COVID-19 preventive measures'.

It comes amid trade tensions with China after Australia angered Beijing by calling for an inquiry into the origins of coronavirus which erupted in Wuhan.

In 2015 the Port of Darwin was leased to a Chinese company for 99 years without oversight from the federal government

Wow, how incredibly stupid.

President Obama let China have the Port of Long Beach. President Trump forced China to give it up.

China also has 13 ports in Europe that handles 10% of the continent's shipping.

China also purchased the Pacific and Atlantic ports in Panama under President Obama.

Good to see that President Trump isn’t the only one to recognize just how big a threat the Butchers of Beijing are.

I follow Sky News out of Australia on Youtube and there is a big controversy out of Australia, one of the states has in secret negotiated to be part of China’s Belt and Road Project..it would like California or NY negotiating directly with China to rebuild one of their ports or airports......

The Aussie economy is booming with their new pm, and it is now the # go to live place in the world by rich millionaires.

Their joining in the Naval exercise with our navy is spitting in the ChiCom’s face.

The other reality is, the Aussies are back in line with the 4 other Five Eye countries, tells me all I need to know.

At one time the Aussie PM, in 1973, then, did not know about the Five Eyes agreement.

I'd considered putting India on the list, but they are in the Indian Ocean, not the South China Sea. It would however add to the message sent to the CCP.

It would be great to add Indian warships to this exercise and to bring India into a security arrangement of Japan, the US, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, Australia, Singapore to send the message that China should not get any stupid ideas....

The 2018 games had the following countries:
Australia
Brunei
Canada
Chile
Colombia
France
Germany
India
Indonesia
Israel
Japan
Malaysia
Mexico
Netherlands
New Zealand
Peru
South Korea
Philippines
Singapore
Sri Lanka
Thailand
Tonga
the United Kingdom
the United States

Under Obama, China was allowed to participate but Trump put an end to that. I think they should invite Taiwan this year.

Australia's Prime Minister in 1973 was Gough Whitlam, a hardcore socialist who would be sacked from office by the Governor General in late 1975.

Keeping as much intelligence information from him as possible was a wise decision.

Me too bro! The Chinese have been caught out in a massive hacking operation against us over the last day or so. They act like we are unimportant to them but they cant feed themselves and we provide them with a lot of grain and other foods.
