From the videos I've seen, the suspect would be alive if he'd continued to cooperate, if he didn't fight with the two cops, if he didn't take a cop's taser, if he didn't turn around while running to aim the taser at a pursuing cop. He wasn't shot until that happened. That suggests to me the cop was acting in defense of himself, his partner & probably the public still in the parking lot.
Even the police chief saying that the man was asleep in his car at a Wendys leaves out the important part that he was in the drive-thru line, this blocking anyone else from driving through. Its too bad that he hadnt pulled into a parking space and gone to sleep.
