Kemp probably went to his hometown of Athens where they still have a police force.The Governor's Mansion is in one of the wealthiest Buckhead neighborhoods in APD Zone 2, which is still manned and where residents appreciate the police. And the mansion compound is well and competently protected 24/7 by Georgia State Patrol. Pity the fools that attempt to scale those walls.
