Yes. That needed to be said. I’m no sociologist. But I’m guessing that even in the worst parts of town most people are decent enough. Grandmothers trying to hold families together, kids trying to do well in school, folks running small businesses, etc.
Side note: Like I said, I’m no sociologist. But I spent decades teaching in urban public high schools. And even in my worst classes, most of the kids were okay. But the bad ones...they were stone-cold criminals.
