We can fight mail in ballots, but we better have plan B in case we lose that fight. Plan B is to put controls on and around the ballot process.

• Cleaning up the voter rolls and challenging invalid and illegal votes.

There are 29 states plus Washington D.C. that have laws on the books for no excuse needed absentee voting. Another five states: Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah and Washington conduct all their elections by mail ballots.
So that’s 34 states/district where mail-in ballots are available to any registered voter who wants one.
