I have a friend who’s son lives in an apartment in the CHAZ. He took his valuables, locked his door, and left the city. He did not feel safe transiting the checkpoints to get into and out of his apartment. He’s hoping for the best, that his place doesn’t get burgled or arsoned, but there is little he can do right now except remove himself from the situation.

At least he’s smart enough to get the heck outta Dodge while he can. That place is going to erupt any day.

Seems the latest rage is building villages with shops at street level and apts above. Kind of retro.
I’d sure think twice before renting or buying into that arrangement.
Shop attacked and your abode goes up in flames also.
