Actually, I think the ones hurt most by this would be the millionaire players, at least the ones too stupid to manage their money correctly (a group that intersects quite greatly with those who kneel). And I’m just fine with that....I’m fine with it as well and they will definitely feel the pain once the checks stop coming in. And then ESPN will put them all on tv to complain about how white folks are the ones that took their livelihood away. But, to your point, they’ve made some money and if they were smart with it, they won’t have to worry. They’re decision to take a knee or whatever else they decide to do.
I think a lot of them are about to get an education as to how the world really works.
The person serving you and me a beer and hotdog at the concession didn’t sign a multi-million dollar contract with whoever. They’re making an hourly rate, putting up with drunks, working their asses off and when the team or venue shuts down, they have nothing. They might agree wholeheartedly with this fallacy that is spreading around about police brutality and for those that do, too bad - so sad. Because those are the one that can’t grasp that 18 people were murdered in Chicago in a 24hr period last week.
But, for the ones that are there just trying to make a buck to support their families and aren’t buying into all this BS, those are the ones I’ll only feel bad for.
