And I am surrounded by the suburban female morons you describe who decry all of this AFTER having moved to the most far out of the city lily white neighborhoods in existence. They are I fact the biggest hypocrites that ever were.

So absolutely true. The farther they are ---safely and securely---from the rioting college students, Antifa and BLM blacks, the more humanistic and compassionate the women are about social causes.

Like the old baseball saying about sports talk radio critics and others: "The closer you get to the green grass of the playing field, the harder the game gets."

Let’s not get too worked up. If I am seeing this right, the poll was taken clear back from April 30 through May 4. That snapshot in time Included quarantine fatigue and frustration and was long before the Floyd incident. So why would the NYT try to pass this off as current except to eaten Trump and his supporters?

So true. These women lap up the media stream on their smartphones and the teevee. It's all anti-Trump and they open their mouths and swallow it all without question.

And you're right, it's all abstract and remote to them, they don't hear the riot helicopters in their neighborhoods, or see the boarded-up or closed stores. They don't fear their safety in their own neighborhoods. That can change....

The women who voted for Trump in '16 will vote for him again in '20, and more will be added to their number.

I was a detective with the Atlanta Police Department, years ago. Went to Fulton Cty Grand Jury on a regular basis and got to know many of the ADAs working there. Most of them were hardworking folks that wanted to put the bad guy in jail. The actual DA is a POS, but that is for another thread.

One thing the ADAs were consistent during all the times I went was, they loved having Grand Jury members that were from the city, preferably from the high crime areas. They were the ones that lived with the BS every day and had no problem voting in favor of an indictment. They weren’t the rich suburban folks from North Fulton County that were insulated from all the problems of inner city Atlanta. They had “compassion” because they weren’t effected by the criminal behavior.

Quick story .... I made a case involving drugs and guns. Black guy sitting down at the end of the jury box, kind of away from everyone else, just stared at me. Answered a few questions from the rest of the jury and was about to get up. Black raises his hand and out of nowhere he says: “Officer, thank you. I live on that street and see those guys out there every day.” .... Needless to say, I was kind of in shock. All the whitey’s on the jury look stunned. They dinged the bell before I even closed the door behind me, on the way out.

Wealth and being far removed from that stuff insulates them. If/when something happens in their neighborhood, it’s dealt with swiftly and, in some cases, severely.
