Fort Bragg to become Fort Fagg.
How about Fort Ray Eubanks? Sergeant Eubanks was a member of the 503 Parachute Infantry who won the Congressional Medal of Honor (CMOH) on Noemfoor Island in WW2. He was from La Grange, North Carolina. Having an Airborne Trooper from North Carolina who won the CMOH seems to be the perfect choice for the name of the base in North Carolina that is home to both the 82nd Airborne and the XVIII Airborne Corps.
Wouldn’t he be a better choice than Braxton Bragg, who was widely considered one of the worst generals in the Confederate Army (he was relieved of command by Jefferson Davis after he lost the Battle of Chattanooga)?
Shouldn’t US Army bases be named after US Army heroes?
