My whole life on Staten Island and I like it and I’m not running like some b.tch because of this.

Best of luck to you. Given that this is NYC, and all reasonable means of self-defense are illegal, I hope you have the means to defend yourself properly. If things get bad enough, you and your, um, family, might find yourselves in charge of keeping the peace in the neighborhood. ;)

This is my home. My whole life on Staten Island and I like it and I’m not running like some b.tch because of this. _________________________________________________

Said every last person whose area turned into a black slum and a haven for random armed criminals, and home value slowly descended into the abyss. NYC will always have Wall Street to keep it on life support. The question is what if every other productive sector moves out. _________________________________________________

You may want to stay but no man is an island, even on Staten Island, and if enough of your neighbors go, you'll have to go to. The alligators in the moat won't survive a New York winter.

As for Wall Street keeping New York City afloat, Wall Street has since gone digital and there are fewer and fewer reasons to keep it there. This Wuhanic Plague lockdown might have only accelerated the inevitable where the city has nothing to offer the power brokers and they depart.
