It is an interesting comment. One made by many people on various boards talking to each other in the last few days. "Why do you live in NYC still?" etc.
Personally, I live in a Red County (GOP Congresswoman) in a Blue state (WA). It wasn't blue when I moved here, but it is now.
Basically anyone in any city in the USA is two elections away from being where the residents of Chicago and Minneapolis are. That is ruled over by leftist Dem major backed up by leftist Dem Governor.
Does it seem unlikely that Boise will elect a Democrat sometime soon? I heard they had a big (peaceful) protest today, 5,000 people.
I've moved many times to get to "better" locations, but we're running out of place to run to. Colorado was a great place when I was young, now it's a blue hell hole.

Until I see people actually fighting to take power from these people SOMEWHERE, it seems like it's the luck of the draw and fortune of where life has landed you - it's not something to feel superior about.
