“””””””””’Raise taxes on Minnesotans. Why make the rest of the country pay for it?””””””””””””

I’m only a few miles west of Minneapolistan. Why should I pay for the ghetto trash burning down their town? Raise taxes in Minneapolistan or just leave it in ruins.

I am going to do everything I can to NOT do business there again. I have a few suppliers left that I do business with but I will find those products elsewhere.

And no, they should not get a penny of federal money.

How are things in your Minnesota town? I’m sure a lot of us would appreciate a report from ground level.

My father was born in Minneapolis, although he spent most of his youth in Buffalo. Still rooted for both the Bills and the Vikings though.

Stay safe.

I think you know the answer. Constitutionally, the federal government is a federation of states. Minneapolis is in the state of Minnesota, so Minnesotans must bear the brunt of the expense relative to the rest of the states.

As far as how Minnesotans deal with it locally, that's up to your mayors, legislators, governor, and ultimately, voters.

Exactamente! Always easier to make extremely bad decisions and pass the cost on to larger numbers of people so as to greatly dilute its impact AND allow these parasitic politicians to continue their destruction of our institutions.

It’s time the politicians be held accountable for their actions, and impose the cost directly on their constituents, as well as onto the politicians’ political viability. Then maybe, just maybe things will change for the better after the next election - and a response to the elected officeholders next riot will be different, including supporting the very people the taxpayers provide to deal with criminals.
