Do you want the Vermont State Police to go throw down with rioters in other states? They can only handle what’s happening in their jurisdiction, which in this case happens to be a pickle-wielding Massachusettsan who appears to have a bone to pick with highway workers.

Incidentally, it appears that there have been some marches/protests and a few violent flare-ups in Vermont, but nothing compared to many other states.
