Not for nine minutes.
However the presence of the drug does make that form of restraint dangerous. Unfortunately a police officer er struggling with a suspect does not have time to draw blood and wait for a toxicology report to know that the suspect has taken a powerful illegal sedative.
A situation that police face hundreds or thousands of times each day all over the country. Yet they manage not to kill their suspect. Why couldn't these four?
Assuming that form of restraint is illegal is a problem.
I don't think it will be a problem at all. The Minneapolis Police Department will be more than happy to testify that they did not train their officers to used the restraint for more than a short period of time, certainly not for almost nine minutes. Combined with two other officers kneeling on his back. The police brass will not be friends of the officers in this trial.
He did not die from cutting off blood flow to the brain, the artery that supplies blood to the brain is on the front side of the neck.
According to the medical examiner it was a contributing factor.
He unintentionally died of suicide by cop, but the cop is not responsible for his illegal drug use.
You call it suicide. The prosecutor calls it murder. Prosecutor wins.
It took that long for the ambulance to arrive. He would not let them put him in the car. They tried for a long time and ended up having three men wrestle him to the ground.
I know it does not fit the narrative but I have watched the footage of them trying vainly to get him in the car.
You know, gap in the video between him walking to the car and him on the ground? Ever wonder why that footage is not shown.
Perhaps because this is a coup?
Prosecutor wins automatically? Not if there is justice.
And while the looters and thugs cry for justice while assaulting bystanders and stealing everything they can carry, Justice is not what they really want.
Death, destruction, rage and loot is what they want. Just like the last three hero thugs. I kinda think not murdering blacks over turf, bling and Hos BY blacks is a great place to start Justice.
And when they stop assaulting elderly folks on the streets of other races for sport is a good step away from racism.
Because the Black culture is the most racist culture in America by far. And the MOST injust.
Right I think people are willing to give cops a lot of slack in situations where split second decisions are being made. But these guys had plenty of manpower and plenty of time to re-evaluate and change tactics. Once Floyd went non-responsive any rationale they did have went out the window.
