"And before you respond with Michael Badens independent autopsy as reported by the media, understand that Baden is a hired man that also believed Michael Brown was shot in the back after looking at a diagram and that O.J. Simpson was innocent. Two specific items were noticed in his press conference that the media is not reporting."
Can you imagine what will happen in this country if the cops get off?
Lock and load, my fellow patriots.
And so it begins.
Evidently, according to earlier reports, the man who eventually died was in the back of the police car at one point but they had to remove him because he was going wild and crazy.
If there’s no video, it didn’t happen.
Yes. If they get off, it will be a Looters’ Paradise. Frankly, I hope NYC, Philly, Chicago and other Blue State cities vote to defund the police. That would be some binge-worthy TV!
Fentanyl and Meth are totally fine.
HCQ and Zinc will kill you dead.
That’s our media in 2020.
Yes. My BFF is considering looting a shoe store, Pet Smart, and Guitar Center.
If they stop at the Apple Store please have them pick me up a 16 MacBook Pro.
The author is leaving out the important information that restraint in prone positioning during excited delirium is also associated with higher death rates.
And he knows damn well that Chauvin’s “technique” contributed to the Floyd’s death because he was doing it wrong.
Sufficient time has gone by now and the press should have been able to get copies of the incident reports written by all the officers. I wonder what is causing the delay.
Maybe. But when you have Fentanyl, meth, cannabis and morphine in your system then causation becomes questionable. Floyd had already stiffened up and fell over before he was in that position.
Also prone positioning with a knee in between your should blades would worsen the effect of “wooden chest syndrome” because it’s already known that this type of restraint interferes with the mechanical bellows action of the diaphragm which can lead to positional restraint asphyxiation.
The prosecutors will have stacks of medical reports and medical expert witnesses on this, including the MPD manual which warns against prone positioning restraint.
Charges have been brought, they are now evidence and exempt from FOIA until after the trial would be my guess.
Also from the article:
“Most importantly, Baden didnt do an autopsy. He formed his opinion from watching the video and speaking to the family of Mr. Floyd.
Nothing he said can be brought into a criminal proceeding. Its simply done to sway public opinion but we will get to him in another article. Back to the actual facts”
1. Where are the body cam videos?
2. Why doesn’t anyone seem to be demanding them?
Don’t bring up facts, the drive by media doesn’t like that!!
We’re a long way from from a trial, but at this point, it looks like there’s a fairly decent chance of an acquittal. To pander to the mob, they’re over-charging right and left. But the more you stretch to charge, the harder it is to convict. Right now, the media doesn’t give a damn about exculpatory evidence or toxicology screens, and Floyd’s conduct and any drug impairment are total non-issues for most observers, but you can bet your last dollar that they won’t be non-issues for the defense attorneys. The defense doesn’t need unanimity. They just need to raise reasonable doubt for a juror or two.
Every day more evidence of this incident emerges and every day the officer looks less guilty and the victim less the martyr.
Every day the state prosecutors up the ante in this case by upgrading the charges. We saw the same retro charging in the Ahmaud Arbery case. Are we pursuing the rule of law or fleeing from the mob?
Many of us on these threads ought to apply the lesson drawn from the Zimmerman/Travon Martin case, the Freddie Gray case and the Michael Brown case, in each case we learned-or should have learned- that due process takes time to catch up to the mob. Certainly we ought to extend that lesson on behalf of the defendants in the Ahmaud Arbery case as well. Many of us on this board have been too quick to convict in that case.
Our system demands due process before we hang 'em and it is kind of important to do it in that order. We have not observed proper order as we burned down our cities. Because we did not observe proper order, there was no room for the presumption of innocence and for the application of due process.
The prosecutor must prove the cause of death of George Floyd who, incredibly as it sounds, might actually have been helped by the officers' restraint. Yet the charges have just been upgraded to murder 2. The other officers have been charged as well, how much more difficult to prove their more attenuated guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
We shall see if these officers can get a fair trial. The rule of law in America did not get a fair trial, shop owners did not get a fair trial, the dead policeman did not get a fair trial. Will Donald Trump get a fair trial in November?
The media portrays Floyd as an innocent black not resisting arrest not mentioning his size or that Floyd was removed from squad car because he was acting up under the influence of drugs Check out
