I was talking about anyone crowing to libs with this news. Not the communications director. Probably a bad choice of words.

I think whoever convinced the President to come out with this statement is not doing him any favors. First of all, pepper balls were used... maybe it isn’t the same chemical as tear gas but the effect is pretty much the same, it is an irritant that makes you want to get away. Second, like you say, snarkytart (love your handle), why be ashamed to fully defend Lafayette Park, so close to the White House, even with tear gas? If our President wants to talk tough, and he should, he needs to be proud of his tough acts and not try to soften it for the LSM or liberals.
