I would imagine the private security for the hotel is not nearly as forbearing as the police are.
The private security at the Trump Hotel in D.C. is supremely professional and formidable. We went there for New Years Even 2018, and there was a wonderful ball in the hotel's open atrium. Somewhere around 1:30 in the morning a girl fight broke out a few tables from us. I have no idea what it was about, but suddenly fashionable women in expensive evening gowns were throwing wine glasses and high heels at each other. In an instant, these enormous security men in impeccable blue suits and earpieces appeared almost as if they had materialized out of thin air, and the women were escorted away. It started and was over in a flash. I honestly did not notice any security up to that point. That's professionalism.
The next morning, I found that I had lost my expensive cashmere scarf. I assumed that I had left it down at the ball and that I would not see it again. While checking out, I asked the desk clerk if it had been turned in, and after a phone call the manager appeared with my scarf. Nothing was overlooked by security that night, not even a guest's lost scarf. BTW, ever single employee at the Trump hotel, from the bell boy, the bartenders, the waiters, the doormen, the custodial staff, the clerks, and the manager, all went out of their way to say how much they enjoyed working there. I have never seen that before.
