No, I am not too young to remember, but I gave only limited attention to Rodney King, Reginald Denny, the trials and the riots. My son had recently come out of the Army after serving with the 82nd Airborne for all of Gulf War 1. I was so happy to have him home alive and was busy helping him and his family get readjusted.
As to Reginald Denny, he was certainly a victim, and his attackers were mainly criminals with records. His attackers were black, but most of the people who rescued him and drove him to the hospital, and the doctor who treated him were also black. See this detailed link:

I don’t need to read a link I know damn well what happened and it’s why I will run over anyone who blocks my way. If you want to stop and risk being drug out of your car and beaten nearly to death that’s your choice, don’t expect other people to feel the same.
