The democrats scorched earth policy. And there’s still months before the election. They fear the democrat party is toast if Trump is re-elected.
Remember how the riots in Watts ended in 1965? The order was given “Shoot to kill”. And it was a DEMOCRAT Lt. Governor (Glenn Anderson) who gave that order (!).
In that case just the order was good enough to send the cowards scurrying, and the riots were over quickly at that point. But if they don’t run away.... you riot, you die.
