Is another phrase being shoved down everyone's throats.

One of the most prevalent during the 2016 election and the "fake news" build up to denying any thought other than their own was that every tv host in the country was caught saying the exact same phrase.

"...and it's a threat to our democracy."

There are youtube videos out there of the hundreds of them saying the exact same thing. All the way down to the local tv news said the exact same thing.

They all said it without even flinching knowing full well that it was all a ruse.

Very good point. A similar oft-repeated submission-phrase is “Stay safe”. I have started to smile and politely reply “Stay free” when I hear that one. (Credit to David Knight for the idea.)
