Oh, she'll find another job in some Midwest investment company, something like that.

If there's a lesson to be learned...don't put your employer in a bad spot.

[Oh, she’ll find another job in some Midwest investment company, something like that.]

She’s Canadian. I assume she’s become a citizen since showing up stateside in 2005, but it’s gonna be a tough haul trying to get a job in the field. No employer of any size is gonna take her on, because of headline risk. Let’s say they manage money for the Minnesota teacher’s pension fund, and hire her. What do they say when reporters call to find out why this KKKrazy Nazi white lady is on their payroll? The sleazoid media really did a number on her. Now, I don’t even think she’s some paragon of virtue, or even a particularly pleasant person. As some other commenter put it:

[In Karen’s defense, there was a point in their Mexican standoff where Cooper (who seems like a thoroughly harmless Oreo – perhaps gay?) said “Look, if you’re going to do what you want [not leash your dog], I’m going to do what I want, but you’re not going to like it.” Karen, who didn’t know Cooper from Adam, quite reasonably interpreted this as a threat. (Although the thing she REALLY didn’t like and which prompted her to call the cops was being filmed, which he had every right to do in a public place. )

Apparently the thing that Cooper does (this is not the first time he has encountered dogs running free in this area even though it is posted as prohibited) is to carry dog treats and give them to the dogs. He says that owners don’t like this, which is true because for all they know this strange man is about to poison their dog.

Karen was acting like the people who refuse to wear masks. Americans are really not good at following rules if the rules conflict with the stuff that they like to do. Rules are good for other people and for prohibiting things that you don’t do anyway, but for special superhero people like each and every American imagines himself (or herself ) to be and concerning things that you like to do, the rules really should not apply.]

But she did not deserve to have her life ruined. And I don’t even particularly favor Canadians - they’re typically even more loony left than our loony left.
