Actually, if it wasn’t for Ann Coulter, Trump would not be president. Also, she is correct that Trump was doing very little to build the wall. In fact, it was nonstop pressure from Ann Coulter that finally lit a fire under the behind of Trump and his people to build the wall. Yes, she can be over the top sometimes. But I like the fact that she keeps the pressure on Trump to do what he promised to do.

"she is correct that Trump was doing very little to build the wall."

No. She did not say "WAS doing very little", she said "Trump DIDN'T build the wall and never had any intention of doing so.".

(P.S. He acquired $18 billion - enough to build all the barrier in the Comprehensive Plan, and is getting it all on contract and obligated by the end of this year)

"In fact, it was nonstop pressure from Ann Coulter that finally lit a fire under the behind of Trump and his people to build the wall."

No. Within 5 days of his inauguration, he issued Executive Order 13767, Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements - which directed the wall be built, and required a Comprehensive Plan be developed to secure the Southern Border.

The plan was finally accepted by Congress in December of 2018. Several weeks later, as soon as it was clear that Congressional Democrats would not provide the required funds, President Trump executed a long prepared plan, and declared a national emergency to divert the needed funding from the Military - he did not even wait for the final budget bill to be voted on and come to his desk.

By any measure, the Trump Wall Program (the largest non-Military border security project in human history, in terms of miles, cost or capability) has progressed extraordinarily fast for a Federal construction program. That was only possible with unrelenting exceptional pressure from the President. He has whipped the staff continuously, and fired a string of high profile appointees, who were slow to get results.

There was never any point where the President's emphasis and direction waned, where Ann Coulter heroically strode into the breach and forced some change of policy.

Ann Coulter knows better, and deliberately lies about it, because that is what now gets has booked for paid media appearances. She has sold out to the Left.

As I said, if nothing else it balances out the “yes men”.

[Also, she is correct that Trump was doing very little to build the wall.]

Saddam Hussein could have gotten a wall started within days of taking power. He would have appointed someone to head up the project. That person, knowing that Saddam had killed his way to the top, would have killed anyone below him who stood in the way. Up and down the line, all who stood in the way would have ended up in the morgue.

This being a constitutional republic, with NIMBY-ism being such a longstanding issue that the Keystone pipeline batted about during Dubya’s administration in 2005 ago is only now in its final phase, there is no way Trump could have built the wall any sooner. Coulter hasn’t ever worked in government. She has no clue about all the legal, political and regulatory challenges you have to deal with to get construction projects going, especially when Democratic electoral majorities depend on a continuous flow of illegal immigrants. I like her, but the workings of the Federal government are beyond her ken.
