E TN Smokey Mountains, BOY!! Did you ride the Dragon? I live within about 40 miles of it. Rode it once on my late BMW R75/5 and several times via Navigator. Great trip, especially if you include the Cherohala Skyway.
Ride of our lives...really really cool vacation. My wife was worried she wouldn't have the stamina or that I'd want to go past her limits...we did not.
Rode till she wanted to stop...gotta bite to eat, grabbed a room, freshened up and rode around the lil town to check it out...bed time...up the next morning for the next leg of our adventure.
Stayed off the main highways. Traveled off the beaten path through the back roads, small towns. It was a blast.
