When does a judge need a lawyer?

I guess to write the reply for the brief that is due 6/1. You would think he had enough law clerks to do that for him.

If I were on the appellate panel I would be rather indignant that a Federal Judge is hiring out his legal decision making to other attorneys. He's the honorable judge with duty to weigh the law and the evidence and make a decision, not his lawyer nor his clerk nor some hidden deepstate controller who is telling him what to do.

Stand up like a man and explain your own decision, Your Honor.
