Legendary Mexican beach resort Acapulco upended by coronavirus
Public hospital beds equipped to care for critically ill COVID-19 patients are nearly full, according to local authorities. They said only seven were available on Wednesday in the city of nearly one million people.
About 30 more beds are being equipped
“...Many COVID-19 patients have had to wait up to five hours to be admitted to hospital, according to a Red Cross paramedic who spoke on condition of anonymity.
“Some are dying in our ambulances” before entering the hospital, the paramedic said.
“Acapulco’s health system has collapsed.”

Paradise Falls in Wildwood Park in Thousand Oaks to close indefinitely due to crowds, trash
“...The Conejo Valley Open Space Conservation Agency announced the closure Wednesday after a weekend that had rangers trying to keep up with collecting trash left behind by visitors. Multiple truckloads of it were removed, according to COSCA.
“While trash cans are available, many simply left it for COSCA staff to clean up and trash accumulated faster than it could be removed. Then there were problems with human waste and sanitation as many used areas along the creek both upstream and downstream as a toilet...”
