The media will blame Cain’s death on the Tulsa rally, and therefore on Trump. I can see why Jim wouldn’t want to contribute to that, even if it means burying, or at least not highlighting the story. I don’t think we will be seeing any “negative” COVID news in “breaking” for a while. I suspect if Charlie Daniels or Lloyd Marcus had died of COVID-19, their deaths wouldn’t have been in “breaking” either. It’s a political/editorial choice.

“The media will blame Cain’s death on the Tulsa rally,”

The media has already started it.

I still think it’s wrong. Covid is not political it is an illness. Any well-respected conservative dying of any illness would be front page, except Covid. For that matter, every time Ginsberg gets sick it seems to be in breaking for a week. Liberals are going to do what they do, burying the news on FR won’t fix that.

We can’t bury our heads in the sand and act like it’s not happening. I didn’t see anything on the thread about his attending Trump’s rally, just a lot of well wishes.

I would add, I know one of his family members reads FR regularly. It probably would have meant a lot to see the outpouring of support for Mr. Cain. Sad.
