Reading your comment and then the article . . . I can't see what you're seeing. I only see one way, that states can't keep churches closed, and he has the means to see that they open them. Which he's not specifying.
And I don't remember seeing him--a veteran negotiator--make a provocative statement for which he didn't have a 50-ton mallet waiting.
I was referring to a different article, one that I posted near the top of this thread, and to a different person. The person I was referring to is Fauci.
I doubt that the president has any authority to force a church to reopen. All he might be able to do is override the governors’ decisions to keep them closed. Then it is the churches’ choice.
My church closed before the lockdown. It seems to me it was their choice then, so they may feel it’s their choice now. I’m sure they will do the right thing. They have always been blessed.
