Two points, please.
1. Yes, it is often tiresome to see incorrect - or incomplete - information posted here on Free Republic. But to insult the poster is to shut down the conversation. Dont you see that? We should all feel free to express our points of view. And if that view is wrong, someone usually comes along to offer a correction.
Awhile back there was a discussion of - of all things - lasers here on Free Republic. I know a lot about lasers. Ive worked with them for decades. And someone posted some crazy wrong things about laser behavior. I did not insult him. After all, what good would that have done? Instead, I offered a gentle correction. I firmly feel thats the way to go.
2. As to supporting the Chinese Communists, I certainly understand your position there. I hate those guys. And even more so since they carelessly unleashed the Wuhan virus on the world. They should be made to pay dearly for that.
But Hong Kong is a Chinese city. It just is. To defend UK sovereignty over any part of it is a dead end, in my opinion.
Its none of my business - but I suspect you are wasting your breath.
Anyone that quick with an undeserved personal insult is probably not going to suddenly switch gears and be civil.
The two are mutually exclusive.
Im not a psychologist, but I believe it is the inability to articulate a reasoned response that causes some people to resort to calling others ignorant.
If there were armies of netagandists posting misinformation about lasers here and all over the Internet, purposely, your laser analogy might be a good one.
“Hong Kong is a Chinese city. It just is. To defend UK sovereignty over any part of it is a dead end, in my opinion.”
Sorry bro, but that’s ChiCom propaganda.
Did you know lasers are a Chinese communist invention?
