There are powers delegated to the president to see that laws are enforced in the nation and to make sure laws are not violated in the nation.

Federal laws, not state laws.

Stop and think. If you support Trump telling New York that they have to open then would also support a President Biden telling Texas they have to close?

Federal laws supersede state laws. You ever noticed civil rights legislation? The Federal government has complete control of voting in the various states, for example. The Federal government is in complete control of education, here in the South, at least.

Also, state governors don’t really have the authority to close their states down, which is why they justify their actions by quoting Federal guidelines for closing down.
