1) Dr. Blaylock’s article was posted and removed several times on FB. The next time someone added it to their page, FB immediately posted an article from HEATHFEEDBACK.ORG which refuted his statements.

Face masks help to limit contact with infectious droplets which carry pathogens. However, the material used for face masks are still porous enough to allow gas molecules, such as carbon dioxide and oxygen, to pass through, and do not significantly impair gas exchange to the point of causing hypercapnia…
This claim has been fact-checked by Snopes and Africa Check. Snopes rated it “Mostly False” while Africa Check concluded that “No, face masks don’t reduce oxygen in blood—and won’t kill you.”
A hit piece on Dr. Blaylock then appeared on a Google search. “Blaylock has endorsed views inconsistent with the scientific consensus, including that food additives such as aspartame and monosodium glutamate (MSG) are “excitotoxic” to the brain in normal doses, that the H1N1 influenza (swine flu) vaccine carries more risk than swine flu itself, and that GMOs are dangerous to health at any dose.”

Blaylock has appeared all over the food-related advocacy space and has been around the voodoo health claims circuit. He is a neurosurgeon turned Newsmax conspiracy theorist and pseudoscience peddler.

2) The French microbiologist Didier Raoult, who identified a cure for the coronavirus that saw immediate results, is now being targeted and smeared by those who want to cash in on a different more expensive drug made by Gilead.
As an aside, I had lunch last week with an old colleague of mine who has moved to Georgia from California. He is an orthopedist. I asked him what made him move. He told me that he’d entered room to see a patient. She punched him on the arm because he was not wearing a mask. He left the room, went to see his boss, left the practice and moved out of California.
