As far as I know, Reader View is free. At least it was when I added it to my browser a few months ago. Clean install. No problems.

Thanks, it was my fault.
The website put a big ad over the page with a download button.
I hit that button instead of seeing it was an ad and downloaded the wrong thing, but got rid of it
I may still try the right program later.
