It does.
I read this yesterday. I am not a doctor, but my wife is nurse, and agrees with everything the doctor said.
What the doctor said may be true, but may not be particularly useful.
There are two noteworthy scientific truths about the virus:
1. It is extremely rare to find a viable, bare-ass naked virus particle just floating around in the air. This virus is almost always contained in a water (or more accurately, snot) droplet. An N95 mask can and does take these much larger liquid particles out of the air.
2. Particle sizes as measure by an electron microscope are much smaller than reality for most biological specimens. Why? Because electron microscopes only work on samples in a hard vacuum. Bacteria, viruses, and most biological samples are hydrated (have absorbed water in them) while they are alive and active. Think about the size of a raisin vs. the size of the grape it was made from. And the raisin still has water in it. Put some raisins in your oven at 250 degrees for a few hours and watch how small they get when that water is removed. The same thing happens to virus particles when they are dried out in the vacuum of an electron microscope -- they shrink.
Plus all the other viruses and bacteria you exhale and are on your face. Then hang that contaminated rag on your rear vieww mirror and wear dozens of times. Positively gross... Surgical masks are single use and discarded
Is that supposed to be a Tweet ? If it is, its a fake.
