Breaking: Justice Department drops case against Former Nat Security Advisor Gen Flynn

The Justice Department dropped its case against former national security adviser Michael Flynn on Thursday, The Associated Press reported.

Flynn pleaded guilty on Dec. 1, 2017, to making false statements to the FBI during an interview on Jan. 24, 2017.

The decision came after the Justice Department found FBI documents related to the Flynn investigation that Flynn’s lawyers said are evidence that investigators set a perjury trap for the retired lieutenant general.

Flynn broke his silence in his case on Jan. 29, 2020, saying in a court filing that he did not lie to the FBI and that he “regret[s]” pleading guilty in his case. He said he entered the plea deal because prosecutors had threatened to prosecute his son.

The FBI turned over a Jan. 4, 2017, memo which recommended closing a counterintelligence investigation into whether Flynn was working as a Russian agent. Peter Strzok, the deputy chief of counterintelligence, intervened to keep the case open.

Prosecutors also provided Flynn’s lawyers with a handwritten note from Jan. 24, 2017, in which Bill Priestap asked whether the goal of a Flynn interview was to get him to lie to the FBI.

A cursory glance at the Drudge Report suggests that Matt wants a race war real bad.

Would like nothing better to see these lowlife arrested and convicted. However these people are still grinning and free. Barr has to be questioned just when the American people can expect real justice.

The millions he spent on the Covington Lawfirm, including Eric Holder, at minimum.

That’s just bare starters for direct damages. Then comes the pain and suffering that are equally provable for the firm’s horrible malpractice, on a minimum multiple of twice the direct damages, plus punitive damages for their proceeding with a horrible conflict of interest. My guess is the minimum number from them alone, given his direct damages of about $5,000,000, could be in the neighborhood of $50,000,000. Then there are the damages he’ll get from the taxpayers. In short, he’ll end up a very wealthy man, as he should, and Sydney Powell will probably get about a third of it..

I heard President Trump, at a press conference today, call the activities that the Ophonybama Administration engaged in before during and after his election “Treason.”

Some (I hope a LOT of) heads are gonna roll!

I have faith that the system will catch and prosecute every one of these assholes to the full extent of the law!

What about that poor man who is still in solitary confinement somewhere? He needs to be rescued. What happened to him was something the Communists do to dissidents... oh wait, the Democrats are communist.

DOJ wants the Flynn case dismissed with prejudice - The dismissal of a lawsuit based on merits of the case where the plaintiff is prevented from filing a future lawsuit on the same grounds.

See here: https://www.scribd.com/document/460363357/Flynn-Motion-to-Dismiss

How long before Sullivan signs off on this dismissal?

Skeptical judge could hold up Trump administration’s bid to clear Flynn, legal experts say

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-russia-judge-idUSKBN22J3HF

FTA:

While the judge still has to rule on the submission, elated supporters of Flynn said there was no way Sullivan could force the department to prosecute if it did not want to. But the judge could stop Flynn from withdrawing his guilty plea and impose sentence. In that case, Trump could pardon Flynn.
